Quick Hello

Thanks for your comments on my last post...  If you are interested in my weekend in Istanbul, there  is now a short video (5 mins) on YouTube *HERE* at the end I have a couple of minutes showing an ice cream vendor in action - they are renowned for their pranks... hope you enjoy it.  Apologies for the quality, I am getting used to a new camera and also making videos is still quite new to me so I need plenty of practice!

The heavy rain this week has not prevented me gardening.  I cut back a lot of overgrown creeper and recycled.  I use some old carpet to roll the branches and cuttings so I can get it into my car and out again without any mess, then I roll the carpet up again ready for next time.

View from the conservatory, peonies were 70 per cent off at the supermarket this week!

.
Mine is a very tiny garden but it is packed with flowers and herbs.  There's lots of lemon mint around which makes it smell lovely.

I have had a few nice wins on EBay which I will post soon, stashing things suitable for India's climate when we visit later in the year.  Back soon...

  1. I couldn't get your video to work - I'll try again later!
Your garden and conservatory are lovely, bursting with colour and interest. Once this rain abates I need to go out with my shears, the shrubs have gone into overdrive!
I don't need anything else for my next trip but a Italian-made fold up sunhat threw itself at me in the charity shop today! xxx

    1. oh, hope you can get a look, it's on facebook too fyi. I do believe things do 'throw'themselves atyou - i don't know how you manage to find so many fabulous things! I went round our chazzas today and it was dismall, one worn out bobbly jersey Kushi tunic (didn't know they made things in jersey tbh) methinks the staff at our locals snaffle the best stuff, maybe i should help out in one!

  4. I don't know how I missed your last post Betty but Amber cat is looking wonderful & healthy. Your garden looks very pretty with everything flowering away - it is winter here & very bare & leaves everywhere. I need to rake them up but am staying in the warm as I have a cold ... also I want to wait til the last tree has finished & then just do it all once. Have a great week Betty xx
