Bless Our Soldiers

 

Bless our loyal soldiers
Remembering our soldiers past and present, their families and all that they represent.

The best part of today's UK news was hearing about the 99 year old veteran soldier who had no surviving relatives or friends to attend his funeral this morning, the undertaker had advertised to see if anyone would attend to honour an old soldier, the chapel was packed - hundreds attended 
- what a fabulous story.

    We too were so thrilled that so many people turned up for his funeral. How very fitting. We too give thanks for all those past and present who have given so much for us.

    That is lovely to read about Betty - my Dad was a returned serviceman & served in the airforce. A lovely post - thanks for sharing that story about the soldier. x0x

    Thanks for sharing this touching story with us. I'm glad that so many attended his funeral. I feel bad that he had no family left. So sad...
