Snow

Here are some Spring hyacinth and tulips on silk to brighten your day.  Don't you long for pink? It's a happy colour.

My day off today has been completely restful, I kept cosy and pottered then did a bit of silk painting.  I was looking for a way of painting in white and tried a combination of the usual inks and some white fabric paint.  Here's the finished result with the white. Some skeletal trees inspired by the snow we are having at the moment in the UK.

and this is the painting in progress before white was used.  I think I prefer the natural white of the silk, two very different effects.

By the way I received a lovely giveaway from Amelies House which was from Harrods.  They had run out of the hampers offered but sent me a voucher for £100 instead - I was so pleased and chose these lovely Hunter wellies - they are navy with silver sparkle and very very comfy, perfect for those dog walking days.  Thankyou to Harrods and  especially to Natasha for hosting.

    1. Thanks Molly, I think all smart dogs appreciate a walking companion who dresses the part - I also always carry a small bowl with lid and bottled water for my doggy friends - I may upgrade this to mineral water shortly in view of my new hunter welly status.

  3. Love the wellies! Love the pink too, and it's not a colour I'm much used to in this house of boys, but I have noticed that all the woolly projects that have caught my eye recently have been very pink. Must indeed be a yearning after sprig- but oh, I do hope we'll also get snow here first!
