Grow Your Blog



Welcome to visitors on the Grow Your Blog bloghop.  I am looking forward to visiting as many blogs as possible over the next few days - including the people who follow me.



My Blog CV:

I am a 50 something wife/mum living in Surrey, UK, bordering woodland with hubby, boys of 18 and 14 and Ambercat.  My hobby is silk painting and I recently dabbled with watercolour. I walk my friends dog in the woods and also visit a rescue home for dogs that need walks too.




 I have faith in God and am spending this year exploring different places of worship after 10 years in one place.





Last year I took an evening class in sign language which has opened up opportunities to communicate with hearing impaired people like myself (I am deaf in one ear)



 I have made many blogging buddies and taken part in a blog hop  (Wind in the Willows) some fabulous swaps, received some beautiful givaways and hosted one or two myself. . If you want to browse any of these subjects there is a label cloud on my sidebar.

    Hi Betty.
    How goes it? Have you lots of snow? Here in London it has just not settled so all is mushy and slushy. Big Sigh! Oh we just seen Scrappy the borrowed dog. Cute! Have fun in the snow and have a super Saturday.

    I am retired and live in the woods in the ozarks of Missouri USA we get lots of wildlife visitors so I feel blessed to live in my beautiful spot-I enjoy creating things with natural fibers-quilting, hand dyes, weaving, rug hooking and more.I also share allot of recipes and my doings in the ozarks Kathy

    Hi Betty! What a lovely blog - I love your art work. I live in the UK too, in the Midlands, so not too much woodlands near me. I am grateful to live near fields and farmland though.

    Hi Betty, it is so nice to meet you and to visit your blog! Well, silk painting... here I was thinking there wasn't anything I hadn't dabbled in and there is silk painting staring me in the face! Your work is beautiful from the examples you show here! Your home sounds wonderful, I too live in the woods and wouldn't trade it for a million dollars.     Hi Betty, here I am from the GYB hop. :) Boy it's taking some time to hop around, isn't it? I love your silk paintings. I paint too, on practically everything I feel like painting on but have never tried silk. I live in England for part of the year, in Oxfordshire. Surrey is lovely. One year we decided to find Merry Hall, you know, Beverley Nichols' home and had a good drive thru Surry to find it. I've followed so I'll see you soon. :)
