Poppies

I have had time for a bit of watercolour today, just dabbling and having fun with the paints....



It's a quite day today, restful - I have been pottering, tidying around and enjoying my own company.

The ones below are on silk - they took longer but I think I like watercolour better.

    I saw that you visited my blog and I am now a follower. Absolutely love your painting. I paint a little in acrylics but no way am I an accomplished artist. Also love your little quotes.

      Thanks Nancy - since you painted your poppies I have wanted to have a try. I think the silk paintings will become less as they take so long!

    Why am I not intimidated by your blog? Because I know that no amount of time or effort would ever bring me close to achieving what your talents do! So I don't have to feel lazy or inadequate- I can just enjoy! And go on ignoring all the housework....

    Hi Betty, I'm so taken by your beautiful work of art. I also visited your other blog but didn't had time to read but it was breathtakingly beautiful. You have a great talent and your designs and colors are so beautiful and magical.

    I would like to join your followers but I'm a bit timid on mailing to the UK as it's so costly. My daughter lives in Glasgow Scotland and I live in Canada. We have stopped mailing packages to each other because it outrageously expensive to sent things by mail.

      Hi JB thanksfor visiting - I can quite understand about the cost of postage - it has caught me a few times, I try to post lightweight things (silk of course is ideal!) Shame you had to cut down on exchanges with your daughter. Maybe there will be a swap within Canada come up that you can join this year.
