The potato crop has all gone, sadly the last few had been eaten by wire worms - when we dipped into our bag to bring out the last handful, this sad faced little fellow greeted us, which says it all really. Hubby said ' I think it's all his fault, he looks miserable and must have turned the others'.
Morning Betty. Yes, your Hubby`s right...misery loves company!!Never mind, a bright new crop next year? Could you plant some late potatoes? Have a good week. x
ReplyDeleteG'day Betty. What a sad little guy. I am sure he didn't mean to be naughty and turn all the others !!! Take care. Liz...

What are wire worms? Yikes! The poor potato, so attacked by enemies. Yes, I guess gardening isn't all "tip toe through the tulips"!
ReplyDeletewire worms, Pompom, are little tiny yellow worms that presumably are very strong as they eat my potato, leave their larvae who eat their way out - any I find I donate to the birds on my sacrificial recycling bin lid but I guess a few sneeked in.
ReplyDeleteHow do you think your comment made me feel Betty? Not very nice.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, what a sad looking chappie!
ReplyDeleteRegarding the comment from Amanda above, I have emailed to apologise but also to find out what was wrong as I dont understand although I am very sad and sorry if I have put my foot in something.
