Lavender Bags

Lavender bags for some friends to scent their drawers - I had a lot of lavender hoarded and decided it needed using up - they were painted on silk and backed with muslin.

Hm, that seemed a bit short and grumpy - just thought I would add a bit of chatter.  The last few days have not been so good and so today, feeling much more cheery and chirpy am off to Brighton with my 12 yr old for a bit of sea air ... I aways try to look at my favourite town differenty each time I visit so who knows what we will see?

  2. Lovely blog, but I am confused, as you say in your profile that you're a Christian, but further down you say you observe the pagan calendar. How does that work?

  3. Those are so pretty - the ability to make things out of your own fabric designs is wonderful! Love Autumn Mist's comment above (I've known her for a while - she's lovely) and I wish I could see your reply to her! I know the answers (or think I do) but I love the way you write - always making us think.

I hope the day in Brighton is wonderful. Do you know what they said to Little Grey Rabbit? 'Sea breezes, sea breezes, ger rid of your sneezes', and I think sea breezes also get rid of bad days, too...

    Hope Brighton is good.

  8. Good question Autumn Mist - I think the answer is that I had a pagan upbringing where we observed the equinox and solstice (think 70s and hippy parentage)-there was interest in the occult in our famiy and infact my mother was known for her telling by cards or crystal and had a small shop in Abergavenny for many years that got all sorts of interest - it was never my thing, I always felt something was missing and so I expored many churches until eventually I came to know God and joined the Baptist church because it was the place I really felt that faith was truly alive and working in me, I was baptised 10 years ago and believe strongly in the power of God through Jesus. You may now be even more confused! so now my interest in the pagan calender is I think traditions that I have grown up with that have been adapted and limited to simply observing the seasons and nature in the woods around me. Hope that helps!
